trifoiler for less wind

has anybody ever tried to sail the trifoiler without the foils?

days with winds of more than 7-9 knots are very rare on our lake so my idea was to sail the trifoiler with no foils and just daggerboards or v-shaped hulls in light winds.
anybody think it can work?

Calling all TriFoiler owners, past and present!

We've begun work on a registry of the roughly 200 boats that are

(or were) out there.

Dan's given us a huge leg up by sharing the factory records, but a lot

of years have passed, and he's lost touch with many owners - to say

nothing of the boats that have changed hands, often more than once.

If you have - or had - a TriFoiler, please drop me a note and help us

complete the historical record.

Thanks very much.

Trifoiler moulds for sale

I have a complete set of female moulds for a Trifoiler for sale: main hull, floats, L foils, T foils, sensors, main composite beam.

These moulds have been built by KL Nautic when they tried to market the Trifoiler in France. The moulds are made of polyester with a couple of plywood frames, they are very heavy.

The moulds have been stored in my garage so they are dry and they are in great condition.

If you are interrested, please make an offer on: 3foiler@free.fr

Congratulation to Christophe BALLOIS and Christophe MARTIN.

There is a new Speed challenger in Australia: WotRocket

http://www.sail-world.com/australia/Wot-Rocket-aiming-to-crack-50kts-and--Speed-Record/40167

The are talking about supercaviting foils and Moth tecknology (sensor?) to exceed the 50knots barrier.

Well it looks like a 'Windjet ' to me.
